Exposing the Worshipper

Guys we can't be worship leaders until we find time to do it off the platform. The platform worship means nothing and I mean this. It means absolutely nothing without personal worship. If you're trying to be a diva or a star then fool yourself as you weld your instrument whether vocally or on keys or guitar in front of the masses of people, moving them with your gift BUT you're not fooling anybody else. We know who's in His face a lot and who's not. The question is to you. I challenge you to act like you want to do what you signed up for and EXPOSE YOUSELVES AS WORSHIPPERS. www.derickthomas.com

My Vision

This was my vision some 18+ years ago for the Cornerstone Church Fine Arts Dept. It was written out of conversations with headship as we discussed in depth what he saw and desired. It was flexible and has been ever since but the point of having a vision is to set us on course to run accurately. As you read it please use it maybe as a guide as you create your own vision THE VISION: To prepare a platform for the ministering of the Word; to be all things to all men; all styles yet no style; jubilant, yet aggressive, in our praise and reverential in our worship. This means developing on a personal and team level in the natural and in th...

Vision

How does a brick become a building? How does a line become a diagram which becomes the blueprint of the tallest buildings in the world? How does a house become a home or three individuals become a family? Someone has to have a vision. The Bible states that where there is no vision the people perish. When I see that scripture I see that where there is no vision there is no provision from God. We nave heard it said that if you fail to plan you plan to fail. Whoever doesn't see the point by now I think has their eyes wide shut. Let's get a vision for our music departments. A vision that has short, mid and longterm goals. A vision that sets on course all those that read it and clearly defines when you are off the course. How many singers? What kind of band? Dancers? Symphony? What do you see? Write the vision and make it plain I'd love it if you share it with us. www.derickthomas.com
