Exposing the Worshipper

Guys we can't be worship leaders until we find time to do it off the platform. The platform worship means nothing and I mean this. It means absolutely nothing without personal worship. If you're trying to be a diva or a star then fool yourself as you weld your instrument whether vocally or on keys or guitar in front of the masses of people, moving them with your gift BUT you're not fooling anybody else. We know who's in His face a lot and who's not. The question is to you. I challenge you to act like you want to do what you signed up for and EXPOSE YOUSELVES AS WORSHIPPERS. www.derickthomas.com

My Vision

This was my vision some 18+ years ago for the Cornerstone Church Fine Arts Dept. It was written out of conversations with headship as we discussed in depth what he saw and desired. It was flexible and has been ever since but the point of having a vision is to set us on course to run accurately. As you read it please use it maybe as a guide as you create your own vision THE VISION: To prepare a platform for the ministering of the Word; to be all things to all men; all styles yet no style; jubilant, yet aggressive, in our praise and reverential in our worship. PHASE ONE: PRAISE AND WORSHIP Build a team of singers and instrumentalists that have the calling and the skill to minister in the office of praise and worship. The team will consist of six to eight singers and as many instrumentalist as we can obtain. Over the course of two years, the team is to become a thoroughly equipped team, a chain with no weak links.
